Summary: The Technical Writer impacts the compliance of regulatory and company requirements for aircraft, component and company manuals and forms, and is responsible for performing assigned tasks in support of this effort. Position offered is for a contractor to perform work on site in Teruel, Spain. Some travel expenses will be reimbursed.Job Responsibilities:Author engineering order documents to instruct aircraft mechanics and inspectors on the tasks required to comply with manufacturer or DER-authorized repairs.Author engineering order documents to instruct aircraft mechanics and inspectors on the tasks required to comply with Regulatory Airworthiness Directives (EASA, FAA, CAA, etc.).Author repetitive maintenance program task cards to instruct aircraft mechanics and inspectors on the tasks required to comply with the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).Make technical decisions regarding applicability of all or part of the tasks listed in a Regulatory document, Regulatory-approved Alternate Means of Compliance (AMOC) document, Original Aircraft Equipment (OEM) Service Bulletin (SB), OEM drawings, Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) documents, OEM Task Cards, OEM Approved Aircraft Maintenance Manual and other source technical data based on aircraft configuration and regulatory requirements.Ensure a quality document that is free of technical, spelling and grammatical errors.Coordinate and account for accomplishing work within established timeframes.Responsible for logging and tracking of assigned tasks and work hours in designated workspace.Attend and contribute to meetings.Support additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications & Experience:Required:Must be able to report full-time to work site in Teruel, Spain.Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience authoring work instructions for aircraft maintenance.Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements related to aircraft configuration control (Airworthiness Directives, Alternate Means of Compliance, SBs, Repairs, Approved Parts, etc.).Knowledge and understanding of OEM and Type Certificate Holder (TCH) technical manuals.Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the aircraft and component manuals.Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.Ability to understand and perform basic mathematical equations.Strong Basic Computer Skills and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).Able and willing to travel as required.High Performer (Quality AND Quantity).Willingness to Comply with Non-Disclosure Agreements and Confidentiality Policies.Preferred:Possess valid FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant licenses (or equivalent).Strongly preferred to have a minimum of 2 years' Aircraft mechanic experience.Higher education degree (aviation-related preferred).Highly developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.Experience using MS Word, Adobe Acrobat DC, SmartSheet, MS SharePoint, TEAMS and OneDrive.Bi-lingual.#J-18808-Ljbffr
