Job Description: As a successful candidate, you will join the A/C Mission DataLinks Design Office team responsible for the inception, design, and development of Aircraft Connectivity Solutions (Data Links), including integration, qualification, and certification support.
The activity will be developed not only according to Airbus systems engineering processes but also following agile development methodology.
The perfect fit for the position is an engaged professional with a background in some of the following areas (please note that not all of them are expected for a candidate), such as IP Networks, CyberSecurity, Data Links, Satcom, Software Defined Radios, etc., and who is ready for a new challenge performing from all levels of design according to the Systems Engineering Process and still happy to contribute in the hands-on tasks (lab integration).
As this is a multi-disciplinary team, extensive experience is not required; however, it could be easily balanced with a strong commitment and skillfulness.
Eager for learning is a must.
You will be a key contributor to any of the innovative projects led by the team and supporting all existing and future platforms.
Therefore, the job holder, in addition to technical skills, will have to be a collaborative team player able to adapt to a changing and challenging environment with an innovative mindset.
In this position, you will develop a strong experience in LoS Datalinks, WB & NB Satcom, LTE/4G/5G technologies, Antennas, RF/Link Budget, rugged mission computers based on RTOS, and IP Based Security.
Some of the following knowledge will be used:
Radio Frequency Systems, Link Budget Data Links, Satcom, LTE/4G/5G Communications Systems based on SDR prototyping and development Systems and solutions modelling (e.g.
Matlab) Embedded systems, HW design applied to FPGA-based System On chip (SoC) devices and SDRs Knowledge of digital communication systems, spread spectrum, and modulation types and waveforms LAN/WAN based technologies and protocols, including Software Defined Networks MANET, FANET, network Topologies Ethernet Standards including network security technologies (Firewall, VPN, IPSEC/GRE, AES) Routers, Switches, management and monitoring systems, CISCO, QoS, VoIP Cloud Technologies as a plus Knowledge of Systems Design Engineering Process This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.
