Air Cooled Chiller Product Engineering Manager We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager with extensive knowledge in air-cooled chillers to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, supporting manufacturing processes, providing customized design solutions, and addressing field issues for installed chiller systems in the EU region.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development: Maintain in-depth understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles, and processes related to all aspects of air-cooled chillers. Proficient in refrigeration system design, components selection, and chiller mechanical assembly design.
Customized Design Solutions: Collaborate with application engineering teams and customers to develop tailored design solutions for air-cooled chiller systems.
Product Sustaining: Identify opportunities for product and process improvements based on field feedback and performance data. Implement engineering changes globally.
Field Issue Resolution: Provide support to field service teams to investigate and troubleshoot issues reported in the field for installed chillers.
Manufacturing Support: Possess extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes related to air-cooled chiller products and apply the philosophy of designing to standard manufacturing process.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project goals and customer expectations.
Testing and Validation: Oversee testing procedures for new and existing products, ensuring they meet performance specifications and regulatory standards.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of engineering processes and prepare detailed reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with air-cooled chillers or HVAC systems.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and HVAC design principles.
Proven experience in supporting manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Pro-E, Creo), MRP systems (e.g. SAP), and engineering analysis tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
