What can you expect...
You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to be an Onboard Safety Critical Development Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:
Firmware and Software Requirements Specification for the Onboard Safety Critical Computing Platforms. Hardware/Firmware/Software Integration Testing for the Onboard Safety Critical Computers developed inside the AR Domain. Development of the Firmware DO-254 DAL A/B and Software DO-178B/C DAL A/B for the Onboard Computers developed under the responsibility of the Air Refuelling domain, and to be involved in its verification (testing, reviews and analysis). Share the responsibility of the Hardware and Software Certification Process of such Firmware in front of the Certification Authorities in order to demonstrate the compliance with the RTCA DO-254 DAL A/B and RTCA DO-178B/C DAL A/B Objectives. During this time competences in the area of the Airborne Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics shall be developed taking advantage of the research initiatives of the department in the development and certification of future airborne systems for coming Airbus programs.

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, we ask that you demonstrate you have:
Education to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English) A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation and demonstrating adaptability Knowledge of the below topics would be beneficial;
Python and Matlab scripting; Real Time Operating Systems; Partitioning Architectures and ARINC653 Standard; Control systems theory; Model Based Design; Continuous integration and DevOps environments; GIT; Bitbucket; AGILE frameworks; Artificial Intelligence theory and techniques, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and Computer Vision; DO-178B/C and DO-254. An advanced level of knowledge of the below is highly desirable;
Modelling languages and environments as UML and SysML, Matlab/Simulink and SCADE Suite/Display; VHDL hardware description language; FPGAs and CPLDs, mainly Xilinx and Altera devices; different programming languages, such as: C/C++, Ada, C#… Please note, we love your interest in working for Airbus but we do ask that you make only one application to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme.
