Role Overview
Carry out Quality Control activities that require extensive technical knowledge, ensuring compliance with good laboratory practices and correct manufacturing standards, following the applicable regulations and internal standards of the company.
Responsibilities
Act as a Quality Control expert ensuring the analysis and control of raw materials, packaging material, and finished products.
Develop and implement procedures and instructions for the management of daily work, as well as functional initiatives for business development.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, Kenvue policies (part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies), in Quality, HR, Environment, Health, and Safety.
Deputy plant manager for chapter 405 Chemical Management of EHS & S Standard.
Manage the following tasks according to applicable laws/regulations and company policies:
5% Material Specifications and Sampling
25% Organization and supervision of routine analysis (raw materials, packaging material, and finished products), stability, validation, transfer of methods. Approval of procedures, instructions, established guides, and signing the corresponding CoAs documentation ensuring that the results are authentic.
10% Prepares/reviews the procedures and/or instructions necessary for the work of the Quality Control Department, updated with the regulations and/or corporate procedures.
15% Staff development training
5% Ensures adequate condition of the equipment and its qualification/calibration
5% New initiatives, innovation
15% Laboratory investigations: NC/CAP
10% Participation in interdepartmental and general meetings
5% Management of external laboratories
5% Budget control
Qualifications
Qualification required: Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or Biology.
Education required: Extensive knowledge of GLPs and GMPs, high knowledge of English and computer science at user level.
Experience required: 5 years of work in the area of Quality Control. Knowledge of different instrumental techniques, validations, computer management, and computer programs.
Required skills: Responsibility, ability to organize and work in a team, ability to manage people, support in compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
Desirable knowledge, skills, and/or abilities: Statistical techniques applied to quality control and processes, management of computer systems, communication, and knowledge of the business.
