If the expression "Houston, we have a problem" gives you chill bumps...
Your place is here!
We are expanding our teams in the Space sector to take on Space Traffic Monitoring and Management projects.
WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
GMV is looking for a highly motivated Aerospace Engineer, or equivalent, for its activities in the areas of Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST), Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Traffic Management (STM) , including R&D tasks, software development and related engineering activities.
As an Engineer, you will work on specific projects related to SST, SDA and STM with opportunities to change team, location and project as GMV grows and evolves.
SST, SDA and STM are increasingly relevant topics in the space sector due to the need to manage the traffic of the population of objects orbiting around the Earth, both space debris and operational satellites, which is today growing rapidly and is expected to increase even more dramatically by the launch of mega constellations.
Within this field, very relevant aspects are the development of complex algorithms and software systems capable of making the most of the information collected by various types of sensors, including radars, telescopes, lasers and passive sensors.
In particular, the successful candidate will join the team in charge of SST/SDA/STM activities at European level from Spain, both for the development of SST systems and for the execution of studies.
The specific tasks to be performed by the successful candidate will focus mainly on algorithms and system development activities with a strong relationship with SST and SDA.
Therefore, proven experience in these fields is an advantage for the candidates.
The candidate is expected to improve GMV methods and software for the above applications, applied both in SST/SDA/STM studies and in system development activities carried out by GMV in Spanish and European projects.
