We are looking for a Accountant in our office in Madrid, Spain. As an Accountant, you will be involved in accounting, tax compliance, and administrative responsibilities.
You will be responsible for developing and securing key compliance areas for Arquid S.L.P and IPS Spain S.A. What is the role About?
This role involves both accounting and administrative responsibilities, serving as a vital link between Arquid S.L.P, IPS Spain S.A., and our global accountant.
In this position, you will: • Payment Preparation: Prepare payment batches for payroll, subcontracting, taxes, and regularizations.
Support annual tax plan review and filings; archive tax documents; assist with municipal/state tax reviews and payroll tax presentations.
• Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage invoicing, collections, and supplier/customer correspondence; process subcontracting payments and create purchase requests/orders in the ERP system.
• Expense Coordination: Report and archive expenses for the Spanish subsidiary; approve travel expenses according to internal policy.
• Cash Flow Management: Update and revise forecast expenses in the "prevision table"; follow up on customer payments.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for daily engineering project tasks, including bank reconciliations, balance accounts, invoice/PO delivery, and supplier payments.
Receive, forward, and archive accounting and tax documents on SharePoint.
Assist in reviewing financial statements (Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss); maintain communication with Group IPS finance and PQST teams.
Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative or accounting activities.
Availability to travel (Max a 25% of the time – mainly to Barcelona and Belgium).
Fluent in English; proficiency in any other language is a plus.
Ensure effective communication with clients, team members, and the company at both national and international levels.
Strong skills in conflict resolution, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
