Applicants should have the technical expertise and be motivated to deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences to undergraduate and graduate engineering students in a team-oriented, student-focused environment.This unique opportunity provides a platform for tomorrow's engineers to learn from the industry's top talent while broadly fostering industry-university relationships. Interested applicants should possess technical proficiency and practical experience in the disciplinary areas they intend to teach and hold a Ph.D. degree or an M.S. degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.Production Systems Course TopicsThe course will provide insight into designing and executing a production system for diverse product sets. It will integrate a model-based approach through an Industry 4.0 lens into the production system elements. We will cover principles, methods, and toolsets used in a multidisciplinary design of all aspects of a production system from product design to delivery and sustainment.Examples include a logistics system interacting with a manufacturing system, both interconnected with an information system, all converging on a physical site or facility designed to operate cooperatively to manufacture an end product.
