The Consultant will participate in a wide variety of these consulting projects, with the opportunity to participate in international projects, working together with the firm's European team of actuaries and consultants.
Responsibilities
Consultants are responsible for:
Programming and checking the required calculations for client projects including actuarial and economic valuation, IFRS17, Solvency II, pricing or reserving projects.Construction and/or configuration of actuarial models for valuation, pricing and reserving in commercial actuarial software.Data validation, exploratory analysis, analytics and visualization.Documentation and traceability of work performed.Participating effectively in client meetings.Actively making suggestions on improving work processes and openly contributing ideas for R&D. What we look for Skills & Attributes Educational Requirements:
An undergraduate degree pursuing actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative coursework.
Experience and skills:
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of actuarial experience
- Has actively participated in relevant actuarial and financial projects (e.g. modelling, valuation, Solvency II, capital, IFRS17, provisioning, pricing)
- High proficiency in Excel / VBA
- Experience in actuarial, financial and pricing software or modelling will be regarded highly (Prophet suite experience will be an advantage).
- Experience in data analysis and data tools will be highly regarded (e.g. PowerBI, R, SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau, MATLAB)
General Skills:
- Superior mathematical aptitude and strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
- Good organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new concepts and techniques, and also teach others
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing and meeting deadlines
- Fluency in Spanish and English is a must. Other languages (especially French and Portuguese) will be highly rated.
