This crucial role will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and overseeing financials and consolidation for all entities within the group.Your role1. Team Management:You will lead a team of 7 accounting professionals which are located in the Granada office, so you should be able to travel frequently.Your role encompasses two distinct areas of responsibility:Supervision and Expertise : Provide mentorship, guidance, and expertise to the accounting team, assisting them in addressing any accounting-related queries. Oversee their work, ensuring accuracy and excellence in financial reporting, consolidation, and other relevant tasks.Resource Management: Approve vacation requests and manage day-to-day interactions with the accounting team. Act as a point of contact for human resources matters, resolving any issues and ensuring the well-being of the team.Liaison with Group CFO : Act as the primary interface between the accounting team and the Group CFO. Support the Group CFO in various projects and initiatives, serving as a crucial link to facilitate seamless communication, aligning financial strategies, and executing projects efficiently.2. Accounting, Taxes, and Statutory:You will be responsible for overseeing a range of critical financial activities, including:Taxes: Monitor and ensure timely and accurate tax filings for all group entities in compliance with local and international tax regulations. Collaborate with tax consultants to implement best practices and maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax changes.Transfer Pricing: Develop and implement transfer pricing policies to ensure transactions between group entities adhere to arm's length principles. Regularly review and update transfer pricing documentation to meet regulatory requirements.Statutory Requirements : Ensure the preparation and submission of annual accounts, financial statements, and other statutory reports for all group entities. Monitor compliance with local regulations for board meetings and related statutory activities.Group Consolidation : Oversee the consolidation of financial data from all group entities to prepare accurate and timely consolidated financial statements. Review intercompany transactions, eliminating inconsistencies and discrepancies.Group Annual Accounts : Manage the process of preparing and finalizing the group's annual financial statements. Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit, ensuring a smooth and successful completion.Impairment Test for Group Entities : Conduct regular impairment tests for group assets and investments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and promptly reporting impairments.Access Controls at Group Level : Implement and maintain access controls for key financial systems, bank accounts, and other sensitive financial data across the group. Ensure robust authorization processes for financial transactions.Consolidated Chart of Account Responsibility : Approve the creation and modifications of accounts in the consolidated chart of accounts.
