We are looking for an Accounting Coordinator to manage the transactional accounting process of the business and to help produce Monthly Management.The Accounting Coordinator responsibilities include continuous review of financial controls and procedures and development and implementation of such controls and procedures.Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the daily operations of the transactional accounting department.Maintain the general ledger structure, particularly when adding new gyms.Supervise Accounts Payable/Receivable.Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Ensure the timely reporting of monthly membership reports.Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.Produce Management Accounts pack for the Spanish trading company and provide detailed commentary on key KPIs and operational variances.Complete Balance Sheet Reconciliations every month and update the Balance Sheet summary for Accounting Manager.Produce ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as necessary.Support budget and forecasting activities regarding costs in both P&L and Balance Sheet.Produce routine monthly department reports, e.g. I.T., Compliance & Maintenance by comparing Budget vs. Actuals.Work with other Department Managers to ensure full understanding of expected costs, e.g. Marketing, Maintenance, I.T.Manage to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.Minimum Requirements:Degree in Accounting or Finance.Three to five years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.Experience using Microsoft Office 365, particularly high-level Excel and Word.Master's degree in accounting or finance.Proven work experience as an Auditor.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and internal customer service skills required.Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines required.
