Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the person will coordinate the day-to-day management of the administrative operations in accordance with the regulatory framework for financial information that is applicable, and with the accounting principles and criteria contained therein.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.
Responsibilities:
Your role as Accounting Associate will involve:
- Review and analysis of all balance sheet accounts and income statements.
- Monitoring and control of financial accounting.
- Help to supervise the accounts payable department, fixed assets, and intangible assets.
- Problem solving.
- Collaborate in monthly closings of all group companies.
- Guarantee compliance with accounting and tax obligations at the local level.
- Prepare reports that may be related to legal advisors and auditors.
- Prepare reports for the Management Team.
- Participate in other special projects according to the department needs.
- Collaborate with implementing improvements in the area for the automation of administrative processes.
- Respond and resolve queries made by the different areas and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- BBA degree or similar.
- Knowledge of accepted accounting principles, practices, and procedures under Spanish GAAP and under US GAAP.
- Five years of professional audit experience
- Use of MS Excel and has experience in ERPs. We value, but it is not a requisite, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other MS financial applications.
- Fluency and proficiency in professional English and Spanish.
- Ability to plan, initiate and complete work assignments with a minimum of direction; understand and apply legal requirements and administrative policies to accounting functions; interpret and analyze fiscal data; detect weaknesses of the Company. We will value having worked in the auditor's department of a Big Four.
