The Accounting Inventory Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management within the organization. This position is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance team by tracking, monitoring, and reconciling inventory data. The Accounting Inventory Assistant also assists with financial reporting and audits related to inventory.Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions.Monitor and track inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, and disposals.Collaborate with the warehouse team to reconcile physical inventory with system records.Data Entry and Record Keeping:Input inventory data into the company's accounting and inventory management software.Maintain organized and up-to-date records of inventory transactions and adjustments.Generate inventory reports as needed.Reconciliation:Regularly perform inventory reconciliation to identify discrepancies and take corrective actions.Investigate and resolve variances between physical inventory and system records.Reporting:Assist in the preparation of regular inventory reports for management review.Provide data and insights for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Audit Support:Assist auditors by providing accurate and well-documented inventory information during audits.Ensure compliance with inventory-related regulatory requirements.Communication:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure accurate inventory data and seamless operations.Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory-related matters.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.Implement best practices in inventory management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).Previous experience in accounting, inventory management, or a related field is a plus.Proficiency in using inventory management software and accounting software.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and inventory management principles.Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to inventory management is a plus.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Health insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to Friday#J-18808-Ljbffr
