Description Your Role We are looking for an Accounting Specialist for the Global Accounting team, who will report to the Accounting Manager and manage French & UK Subsidiaries.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the annual accounts and consolidating financial data for these markets.
What will you do?
Accounting for French and UK Entities: Manage daily accounting for legal France and UK subsidiaries.
Prepare and present monthly financial statements by local accounting standards (Local GAAP and IFRS).
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations in France and the UK.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
Intercompany Transactions: Manage and process all intercompany transactions, including purchases, sales, loans, and shared services.
Ensure the proper elimination of intercompany transactions in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements (CCAA).
Reconcile intercompany accounts regularly and resolve any discrepancies.
Document and maintain procedures related to intercompany transactions.
Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements (CCAA): Assist in collecting and consolidating financial data from French and UK subsidiaries for CCAA preparation.
Help prepare explanatory notes and disclosures for the CCAA.
Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end closing process, including preparing accruals and prepayments, analyzing account balances, and preparing financial statements.
Fixed Asset Management: Record and maintain accurate records of all fixed assets.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to fixed assets.
Assist in conducting physical inventories of fixed assets.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or similar.
Desirable at least 2 years of expertise in a similar role.
Desirable previous experience in an audit sign.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS and UK GAAP).
Analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of accounting software (SAP, Oracle).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and at least an intermediate level of French.
