As an Accountant in the Global Front Office in Madrid, you are part of the Global Delivery Organization, which is part of the Global Finance Operations organization.
The Global Delivery organization is driving and delivering global efficient and harmonized processes in Purchase To Pay (PTP), Order To Cash (OTC), and General Accounts Receivable (GAR) accounting areas.
The Global Front Office works with judgement-based activities.
The different teams in the Global Finance Operations are responsible for reporting and analyzing the actuals as well as reporting, consolidating, and analyzing forecasts and Business Plans for all financial information including profit, cash flow, balance sheet, investments, and cost control.
The processes for this are developed in close cooperation with the Business controllers in the functions as well as with the Group Finance function.
As part of the One Finance Organization GFO, you'll be part of a global team that drives business performance to realize the objectives set out in the Corporate Strategy.
In cooperation with colleagues in other business units worldwide, One Finance provides financial expertise, business controlling, and guidance.

What's in it for you In this role, you will ensure that the Global Finance Operations applies correct accounting principles and complies with national and international laws and regulations.
You will be responsible for the accuracy of reported financial figures and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and administrative guidelines.
The main purpose of the Accountant role is to coordinate, execute, implement, and harmonize PTP processes and procedures within the Volvo Car Group.
What you'll do In this role, you will analyze logistic processes that impact the issuing of SBI's or booking of paper invoices.
You will coordinate with different teams regarding the actions needed to solve self-billing/paper invoices escalations and other cases.
Furthermore, there will be a focus on the self-billing invoice process (on-boarding new suppliers, setup, fixing issues related to SBI, and detecting improvement areas in the process).
You will be the interface and the point of contact between the Business Process Outsourcing delivery team(s) and the Care by Volvo organization.
You will follow up on inquiries and perform timely escalations to applicable parties for swift resolution.
In addition to this, you will perform judgement-based issue resolution of inquiries relating to the PTP process such as (but not limited to): Analysis of overdue invoices Management of supplier inquiries Approving invoice payment proposals PTP period end activities Analysis of KPIs Account Reconciliation Review Phone support for supplier calls Deal with escalated tickets through the ticketing system Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to manage projects in various areas, as well as monitor rule-based activities performed by a Shared Service Center (SSC).
In this role, you will be responsible for the accuracy of reported financial figures, ensuring compliance with national and international laws and regulations, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and administrative guidelines.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe that you have a university degree in Finance or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in finance or a related field.
Additionally, you should have solid experience of PTP processes, especially in manufacturing companies, and accounting experience.
For this role, you need to be fluent in English both verbally and written, as well as experienced in SAP in MM/FI modules.
You'll need to be a great communicator with excellent cooperation skills.
