The BIRKENSTOCK Group is headquartered in Linz am Rhein and maintains several locations in Germany, as well as sales offices in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.Join us in shaping the future at our Madrid location as anAccountant (m/f/d)YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage all accounting transactions and support with functional knowledge on Spanish accounting and legislative standardsMaintain the Sales Ledger ensuring cash is collected promptly, issues are proactively resolved ensuring a clean ledger with minimal overdue balances and minimal bad debt riskManage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring purchase orders are raised, overheads and expenses are posted and up to dateMaintain Accounts Receivable data baseOwn payment collection and reporting to credit insurance companyEnsure 4 eye principles and timely bank payments, Bank posting and regular reconciliation as well as Balance Sheet reconciliationsIdentify month end accruals and prepayments, and prepare and submit regular tax returns (VAT, SII, withholding taxes)Ensure cash is properly managed via cash flow forecasts and monitoring, and carry out General Ledger postings YOUR PROFILE:Degree in accounting or related field with a minimum 2 years' experience in finance environmentProfound knowledge in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Bookkeeping and strong Spanish Taxation skillsStrong relationship builder, collaborator and supporter for other functionsEnjoys working in a team environment, good communicator and positive influencerSelf-starter, comfortable managing own time and workloadSAP and strong Excel knowledgeFluent Spanish and English language skillsWilling to travel to our HQ to GermanyWE OFFER:BIRKENSTOCK offers you all the advantages of a successful, fast growing, global company: dynamic work environment, considerable design freedom, authentic and open corporate culture and excellent development opportunities.
