Role summary: This role is part of the Apex Corporate Solutions team and reports to the Head of Operations Corporate Solutions based in Valencia (Spain). This role acts as an international accountant, supporting other jurisdictions and assisting the Head of Operations Corporate Solutions as required.
Key responsibilities: Maintain bank accounts, including bank account opening, initiate transfers/wire instructions, and liaising with the bank.Handle the day-to-day matters as delegated by the immediate/subsequent reporting line(s).Liaise with clients, as required, on the day-to-day matters.Ensure that all day-to-day matters required to be completed are performed in a timely and satisfactory manner.Work with immediate/subsequent reporting line(s) to ensure all internal/statutory/investor deadlines are met, as applicable.P&L and balance sheet reconciliation.Bookkeeping: journal entries.Produce management accounts.Control: assist with managing working capital, preparation of billing, debtors & creditors control.Accurate and timely month-end close, working to deadlines.Assist with filing VAT submissions and tax.Support audit requests.Support the local team management and other jurisdiction's management with any additional ad hoc requirements and all requested information by set deadlines to drive the business forward.Skills / experience: Preferable Accounting, Economics or Business Administration degree.Fluent English knowledge (written & conversational) – Dutch is a plus.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions and make decisions.Strong communication, influence, and interpersonal skills including the ability to set up solid cross-functional partnerships.Entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven, with a can-do attitude and resilient in a pressurized environment.Organized and accurate in working methodologies, with an eye for detail and the ability to work in a cross-functional stakeholder environment.Team worker and willing to pick up other duties to assist in a small finance team.What you will get in return: Opportunity to work with a diverse, agile, and global team.Exposure to all aspects of the business and cross-jurisdiction.The opportunity to innovate, bring discipline to brand activity and really make a difference.A genuinely unique opportunity to be part of an expanding large global business.Opportunities for professional development.Positive and hospitable work environment.A genuinely unique opportunity to be part of an expanding large global business.
