T he accountant will gradually become responsible for managing all financial, accounting and administrative activities. In this role he/she will ensure compliance with the local laws and regulations, and with the support of local external experts for Tax. He/she needs to be able to work autonomously, run a proper accounting environment in SAP B1 and generate monthly and quarterly reporting. For taxation, budget and forecasts, treasury, credit control and cash-collections. In his/her role as Accountant he/she will be in contact with external partners like auditors, state authorities, bank, lawyers, etc. as well as all internal finance, administration and HR departments. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Accounting. Prepare all needed entries for the bookkeeping and reporting on time: general ledger, Account/Receivable, Account/Payable. Oversee the operation of control accounts and reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts. Ensure the effective accounting of the various client accounts. Ensure correct and timely VAT and tax declarations. Forecasting. Prepare and analyze the forecast (monthly and quarterly) by teaming up with the local management. Build up the Forecast. Master and check the budgeted expenses. Treasury. Actively monitor and control the cash flow of the entity Annual Reports. Prepare the annual report consisting of items such as balance sheets, profit and loss accounts. Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting and tax requirements with support from external specialist. Ensure that all necessary legal, fiscal and social declarations and documents are properly done on due time. Reporting & Communication. Regularly report on all issues to the Director Finance & Administration and/or Headquarters. Be proactive. Alert in case of any problems or material variance to budget or forecast. Ensure all administrative support for the local team related to Expenses, Invoices, HR-matters, Office related matters. PROFILE Bachelor Degree in Accounting. A first experience in managing the accounting from A to Z in an International company or in an Accounting firm. Motivated and open minded person. High level of adaptability and energy. Good accounting knowledge and experience with local fiscal & employment requirements Capacity to handle a multitude of ongoing topics and an incisive mind to ensure the ability to focus on priorities Uncompromising when it comes to accuracy and transparency Customer oriented (internal and external) with good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Self-starter able to work with minimum instructions. Open-minded, flexible, dynamic and team player Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel and Word), knowledge of SAP B1 and/or SAP R3 tool is an asset.
