OverviewWe are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Asturias (hybrid working format).
The Accountant is supporting the EMEA Accounting Team, which is responsible for the US GAAP books supervision of EMEA Legal Entities and the preparation and delivery of the Statutory Books in compliance with local and corporate policies.
The Accounting Team has a key role in the delivery of all controllership activities in relation to the Legal Entities including Financial Accounting, Reporting and Internal Controls and supports business and accounting teams in all accounting matters, being the center of expertise.
ResponsibilitiesPayroll Accounting:Review of all payroll output, investigation and correction of errors and posting payroll data in the Finance system.Maintenance of payroll related accruals.Preparation of payroll account reconciliations in compliance with the Global Account Reconciliation Policy.Assist with restructuring programs.Support to Payroll related projects.Provide support to the Accounting Team:Analysis of balance sheet and income statements for Legal Entities within the scope of responsibility.Local and US GAAP books monitoring in compliance with statutory and corporate policies.Preparation and filing of country specific Financial Statistics.Collaborate with Tax for appropriate Income Tax Accruals, Income Tax payments, Tax Cash forecasting, Year-End provisioning and Corporate Income Tax filing.Provide support for external and internal audit.Interact with other finance and accounting personnel through the organization.QualificationsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.Minimum 3 years of accounting and financial reporting experience required.Experience in US GAAP.Previous experience in Big4 or multinational companies is a plus.Business proficiency in English is required.
