We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to manage the accounting processes for both our Spanish and international entities. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting financial reporting and analysis activities.
Responsibilities
Accounting:
Manage the accounting for Spanish companies using Holded and for international entities using Xero, including sales and purchase invoices.
Ensure the completion of month-end accounting tasks for international entities, coordinating with local managers to finalize payroll, taxes, and other financial obligations.
Prepare bi-weekly reports of outstanding invoices.
Analytical Accounting:
Ensure accurate allocation of transactions to facilitate analytical accounting from both Holded and Xero systems.
Assist in obtaining data for project/client Profit and Loss (PL) statements.
Reporting:
Report to the Financial Manager monthly to confirm the closing of accounting periods for each company.
Group Operations:
Following the Financial Manager's guidelines, account for intercompany invoices on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis according to the Group Policy.
Treasury:
Record receipts and payments for Group invoices.
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for the Group.
Assist in preparing bi-weekly cash flow forecasts.
Asset Management:
Ensure the inventory of assets is accurately reflected in the accounting records.
Record asset acquisitions and disposals.
Coordinate the annual physical inventory with responsible departments.
Quarterly Closings:
Ensure quarterly closings are completed timely and accurately for tax filing purposes.
Requirements:
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience with accounting software such as Holded and Xero.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Languages
Spanish (mandatory)
English (recommended).
