What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to maintain financial records, prepare reports, manage accounts payable/receivable, and ensure tax compliance. The role includes budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights to support business growth. Proficiency in accounting software and strong analytical skills are essential.
What will you be doing?
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries;
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Conduct financial analysis and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and variances.
Posting month-end closing
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Monitor and analyze budget variances and report findings to management.
Provide recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable, including vendor payments and expense reimbursements.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and financial statements.
Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national tax regulations.
Prepare and submit documents to file tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, and other applicable taxes.
Liaise with external accounting, audit and tax advisors as required.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support business growth and development.
Participate in financial planning and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings.
What will you bring along?
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters preferred)
3-5 years of the relevant experience
Hands-on experience in accounting or audit
Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards and tax regulations is a plus
Proficiency in Excel and Accounting Software
Fluency in English and Spanish
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
