Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) . Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with US GAAP. Bookkeeping: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and balance sheets, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards. Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead monthly and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded. Tax Compliance: Support the preparation of tax filings (sales tax, income tax) and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Budgeting Forecasting: Assist in budget creation, tracking, and forecasting financial performance against budget goals. Audit Preparation: Prepare and support internal and external audits, ensuring all requested documentation is readily available. Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies as they arise. Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper with a strong understanding of US GAAP . Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote work environment. Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance is a plus. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) is a plus but not required. Compensation: $200 per week for full-time work.
