The Impact You Will Have Reporting to the Manager of Global Business Operations (GBO) Spain, you will play a vital role in supporting Underwriting, Accounts, Claims, Credit Control, and Brokers/Clients within our Marine and/or Aviation Lines of Business.
Your responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting underwriting materials—such as broker presentations, slips, and accounts—to ensure accuracy and completeness. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will enhance operational efficiency, support underwriting teams, and build trust with internal and external partners.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include: Handling medium-complexity accounts, ensuring underwriting materials are complete and escalating missing information to Underwriting when needed. Inputting new and renewed business into IT systems, generating invoices, and producing accurate documentation (e.g., policies, certificates, endorsements) for brokers and clients promptly. Reconciling premiums, collaborating with Credit Control, and liaising with brokers and Underwriters to ensure timely payments. Managing your workflow to meet performance standards, ensuring compliance with risk management procedures. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, attending relevant meetings as required. Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and handling ad-hoc tasks as needed. What You'll Bring to the Role Experience in the insurance sector or in administrative roles in other industries. Preferably completed a recognized insurance qualification or equivalent in the financial sector. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with relevant business applications and systems. Basic understanding of insurance products, wordings, terms, conditions, coverages, and the policy administration life cycle (e.g., information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellations). Ability to continuously develop your technical knowledge, systems expertise, and insurance/business understanding. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management skills and experience prioritizing tasks based on daily reviews. Fluency in Spanish (native level) and working knowledge of English. What's in it for you?
