Account Manager Madrid Job Purpose Our client is a global card scheme payment provider seeking an Account Manager with payments experience to be based from their Madrid office.
You will be promoting card acceptance in the Spanish market, identifying potential partners, and building and maintaining strong relationships with acquirers, issuers, payment institutions, agents, merchants, and terminal vendors to drive success.
You will work closely across global offices and require a high level of English as well as being fluent in Spanish.
Day to day you will: Assist with the establishment and maintenance of partnership relationships to drive issuing and acceptance Build and maintain relationships with partners and hold regular meetings Understand the acquiring market structure and identify main players Assist with the creation and update of a target list of potential partners Participate in follow-up meetings with partners to discuss business cases Assist with negotiations on Licensee and/or commercial agreements Prepare and submit reports on acquiring activities and results to management Manage high-level technical queries regarding system development and operations Assist in coordination of implementation projects Provide clarification on routine technical issues, introduce new products and features and develop implementation plan Provide induction training and on-going support internally Provide administrative support to ensure effective operation of the sales and marketing function Conduct maintenance activities contacting, visiting and following up with merchants - some travel domestically and globally occasionally Create and promote marketing material with the Marketing team and partners to expand awareness and sales activities Support Internal Control activities to comply with internal control requirements (self-audit and offsite monitoring), keeping the relevant documents updated and report as required Analyze sales activities and market trends to find out acceptance gaps and create business cases To be successful in this role, you will possess: Payment Card Industry knowledge Demonstrable passion and ability for sales and commercial awareness Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with people Demonstrable creative and innovative ability Sales analysis capability Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills Pro-active and reliable Able to work alone and within a team Excellent administrative and organizational skills Intermediate proficiency in MS Office package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with ability to make compelling presentations #J-18808-Ljbffr
