Location: home-based in Spain or Portugal
JOB PURPOSE This role is responsible for achieving sales, sales growth and profitability targets in the territory. The account manager will be responsible for managing a number of important accounts in the territory. You are expected to identify the growth opportunities as well as the risks associated within the assigned accounts. You will be expected to build robust account plans to grow and increase profitability. The role maintains frequent face-to-face communication and establishes win-win relationships with existing accounts. Your customers will be based in Spain and Portugal. This role requires up to 40% traveling.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop account strategies for existing accountsIdentify needs and key buying factors beyond priceAssess opportunities, trends and define aspirationsDevelop close relationships with decision makersBe the conduit to develop multi-functional relationships between Amcor and accountsDevelop and maintain an account plan for each core accountMaximize sales, sales growth and profitability of accounts in the territoryEstablish & maintain strong relationships and face-to-face communication with accountsAct as the direct, primary face-to-face contact with existing accountsEstablish strong, multi-level, win/win relationships with identified accountsBe the expert in the territory and of the customerProvide accurate monthly forecasts for the accounts in the territoryProvide quantitative and qualitative feedback on competitorsAnticipate changes in the marketplace and account behaviour/needs and report to managementResponsible for forecasting and budgeting sales activities by existing accounts and assure the completion of these targetsMonthly reporting of the sales activity in the areaQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Formal Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 3 years of sales experience in sales (account management)Proven experience in packaging ideally within food marketGraduate in Business Administration, Engineering or similarExperience of working in fast-paced, international environmentKnowledge and ExperienceFluent Spanish and English required, Portuguese is a big assetKnowledge of the packaging businessCRM Systems, salesforce.com is a plusMicrosoft Pack (Excel, PowerPoint)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong analytical skills and backgroundSelf-starterResults orientedStrong ability to get things donePerformance drivenAbility to closeWe will only accept applications in English.
