Location: home-based in Spain or Portugal JOB PURPOSE This role is responsible for achieving sales, sales growth and profitability targets in the territory.
The account manager will be responsible for managing a number of important accounts in the territory.
You are expected to identify the growth opportunities as well as the risks associated within the assigned accounts.
You will be expected to build robust account plans to grow and increase profitability.
The role maintains frequent face-to-face communication and establishes win-win relationships with existing accounts.
Your customers will be based in Spain and Portugal.
This role requires up to 40% traveling.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop account strategies for existing accounts Identify needs and key buying factors beyond price Assess opportunities, trends and define aspirations Develop close relationships with decision makers Be the conduit to develop multi-functional relationships between Amcor and accounts Develop and maintain an account plan for each core account Maximize sales, sales growth and profitability of accounts in the territory Establish & maintain strong relationships and face-to-face communication with accounts Act as the direct, primary face-to-face contact with existing accounts Establish strong, multi-level, win/win relationships with identified accounts Be the expert in the territory and of the customer Provide accurate monthly forecasts for the accounts in the territory Provide quantitative and qualitative feedback on competitors Anticipate changes in the marketplace and account behaviour/needs and report to management Responsible for forecasting and budgeting sales activities by existing accounts and assure the completion of these targets Monthly reporting of the sales activity in the area QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Formal Qualifications and Experience At least 3 years of sales experience in sales (account management) Proven experience in packaging ideally within food market Graduate in Business Administration, Engineering or similar Experience of working in fast-paced, international environment Knowledge and Experience Fluent Spanish and English required, Portuguese is a big asset Knowledge of the packaging business CRM Systems, salesforce.com is a plus Microsoft Pack (Excel, PowerPoint) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical skills and background Self-starter Results oriented Strong ability to get things done Performance driven Ability to close We will only accept applications in English.
