Who we are and what we do? The German Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) team in Madrid is part of the International Card Services organization globally.
We are focused on acquiring new SME customers for American Express, targeting businesses in the German market, helping business owners in managing their finances, improve cash flow and stay in control of everyday expenses, whilst earning rewards at the same time.

As we continue to grow our hub in Madrid and our German Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) team, we are looking for a Sales Manager/Sales Executive to join our #TeamAmex.
What kind of work would you be doing? Full responsibility of a portfolio of German top SME clients with clear focus on portfolio growth and long-term account expansion and retention strategy.Identify client needs with American Express products and services and sell appropriate value components to create greater customer engagement.Proactively build and manage an effective pipeline, identifying and prioritising opportunities to achieve and exceed profitable growth targets.Consistently seek out new sources for expansion opportunities (e.g., self-generated, client referrals, subsidiaries or sister companies) by understanding client's opportunities, threats and risks to maintain and grow relationship.Participate in development of tactical sales and client retention campaigns.Operate effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment to collaborate and partner with a range of stakeholders in the company to ensure premium value is delivered at any stage.Strong negotiation skills and consultative-selling techniques to identify and advance opportunities to generate profitable revenue growth.Ability to drive innovation and change and actively participate in local and global workstreams.What we are looking for and what you should be passionate about Native level in German and fluency in English written and spoken (our company language).Background working for or in the German Market.Previous Sales experience is a plus or passion for negotiating and interacting with customers.Ambition, strong inner motivation and challenger mindset to think creatively to identify new business opportunities.Self-driven and results oriented with a positive mindset and a clear focus on achieving and exceeding targets and goals.A natural forward planner who is highly organized and has the ability to manage multiple customers at different stages of the sales process.Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating with team members in different markets to maximize individual and company performance.Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
Highly engaging communication style with ability to speak confidently with senior executives.Ability to make sound judgements in a fast-paced environment.
