Position Overview With the aspiration to position CRH as the best in class partner in the Construction Value Chain when it comes to innovation and sustainability, the Group Innovation team is responsible for developing and implementing across the company an Innovation Model that enables resilience, durability, and value creation through changing business, societal, and investor contexts by leveraging our capacity to partner with key stakeholders to innovate and foster sustainable value for all our stakeholders.
That innovation model spans from the fostering of opportunities, ideating possible solutions to address them and conducting the development work to implement them in the businesses, with value creation and growth as main drivers in mind.
The role is responsible for gathering and synthesising strategic intelligence to inform CRH innovation strategy.
The Manager, Innovation Strategy is a key position reporting to the Group Head of Innovation, working closely with Ventures, Strategy, the ICSC and other Innovation functions and senior stakeholders including the GLT.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role, you will:
Gather strategic intelligence about present and future developments in emerging market and innovation trends, technologies, active players (corporates, start-ups, development centres, academia, etc.
)Synthesise that information and visualise for impact through Innovation Maps/radars, as a form of conveying complex information in a relevant way for senior stakeholdersPrepare and present strategic analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders with comprehensive strategic and financial rationaleSelect and/or develop, maintain and set-up the required IT tools to perform efficiently the tasks described above.Work with Exploration Councils or other Strategy bodies to translate knowledge into actionable insights for CRH addressing strategic challenges identified by the Councils.Key Individual Competencies You are able to:
