What is the objective of this project?
As an engine performance engineer, you will be part of the Aerothermal Technology and Systems department and you will carry out engine performance tasks both for R&D and D&D projects.
Your Tasks will be: Generation of engine performance models.Conceptual design of advanced gas turbine cycles for new propulsion architectures.Definition of engine performance tests and test cell calibration.Specification and development of new components to be implemented in ITP's own performance program.To validate the capabilities of the ITP performance program.What profile are we looking for? Education: Master's in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.Experience in: No experience necessary.Knowledge in:Operation of gas turbines and their components.Engine-aircraft integration.Fluid mechanics.CFD simulation.Work in Linux environment, C++ programming, Python.Desirable: knowledge of GasTurb, Simulink or similar programs.Languages: high level of English.Soft Skills:Communication and Teamwork.Initiative.Creativity.Critical thinking.Motivation.Orientation to results.What training will you receive to be able to carry out the work?
You will receive training on: modelling and optimization of engine cycles, both stationary and transient; performance component modelling; definition and analysis of testbed and flight engine tests. Continuous training in all those aspects that are necessary for the work.
