Our Assisted and Automated Driving Development team in Spain, which develops various software modules and new technologies to enhance the driving experience while working towards the goal of autonomous driving, is currently seeking an ON-BOARD SOFTWARE ENGINEER (M/F/d).KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Systems Architecture and development. Experience in feature development coupled with a deep understanding of C, AutoSAR, Configuration & Virtualisation.Teamwork and Leadership: Positive team player, with the strength of character to drive non-expert software engineers and mechanical engineers to support the development of robust code.Understanding the Business: Understands team & group goals.Problem Solving: Issue resolution is a key skill; software is often the quickest but most complex to understand due to its lack of physical nature. It is critical that the role is capable of using extensive theory-based problem solving as repeating defects are often very time-consuming and difficult. Being able to develop a list of theoretical root causes and eliminate these through analysis/test is fundamental.Coach, Train & Mentor: Shares knowledge with others through regular training and delivery support.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEDegree (Master or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or similar.Experience with active software development.Deep knowledge in C / C++, Matlab.Several years of professional experience in a Scrum/ Agile role, including experience and lessons learned outside the textbook.Experience in agile and classical software development methods.Good analytical skills.A resilient and enthusiastic individual who responds constructively to new ideas and inputs.An individual with the ability to prioritize their workload.A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas.An effective team player who supports team members.The role needs an individual who is highly creative and can think laterally.ASSISTED AND AUTOMATED DRIVINGOur Assisted and Automated Driving team brings together expertise in automated driving, computer science, and vehicle connectivity.
