We are looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Accounting Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. We are also looking for someone to work closely with our financial management team.
We are a young technology-led ecommerce fulfilment company, focused on helping online sellers grow their business by providing global fulfilment. We are VC funded and continue to grow at a rapid pace with the recent incorporation of several European subsidiaries and expansion to new sites in the UK and Europe. You will be joining a young and dynamic team in our offices in Madrid. We are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm, a desire to learn and succeed, a focused mind, and a "Can Do" attitude.
Key responsibilities for our Accounting Manager:
Day-to-day financial and management accounting.
Managing supplier and payroll payments.
Month End Process. Ensuring the process is complete and Group guidance is followed.
Analysis of budget deviations.
Coordination with external advisors (tax & legal, auditors).
Preparation and filing of statutory financial statements.
As the company grows, manage the accounting team.
Requirements
What we look for from our Accounting Manager:
Deep knowledge of Spanish GAAP.
Local statutory filing experience.
Experience managing reporting and month-end close processes.
Experience of working on subsidiaries controlled by foreign groups.
Strong IT skills including advanced Excel, finance software (valuable prior experience with SAP), MS Office.
Collaborating attitude to improve processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
The ability to work independently and support your department and peers.
Confidence and resolve to hold processes and procedures in place.
Excellent attention to detail.
Experience collaborating with external auditors.
Valuable prior experience working in a software, warehouse, or manufacturing business.
High level of English is required.
