Description: About this role: Gartner Conference is seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to join our globally distributed team.
In this role, you will leverage your technical skills and business acumen to conduct ad hoc analyses, build tools in Power BI, and present your findings in a clear, compelling way.
You will play a pivotal role in identifying growth areas for our Conferences Team, using data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions.
Success in this role requires excellent collaboration in an asynchronous team environment and the ability to navigate and access our data infrastructure effectively.
What You'll DoConduct ad hoc analysis to identify and evaluate growth areas for the Conferences Team.Work with stakeholders to refine understanding of their problem area and then effectively communicate data insights with a compelling story.Use Power BI to prototype new reporting tools for stakeholders to understand their business.Utilize SQL and Excel to prepare and analyze data for exploration and insights.Collaboration with team members globally is required to understand business needs and adapt analyses.Navigating our internal data landscape to find and understand the right data sources you need to integrate into analysis to get full understanding of the project.Ability to take loosely defined ideas and structure them into actionable projects, maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitude even if the journey to the solution is challenging at times.What You'll NeedAt least 2 years of experience in a business analytics or related role.Advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel.Python skills are nice to have.Proficiency in Power BI to create tools for stakeholders to access data.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business problems into actionable KPIs.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a globally distributed, asynchronous team environment.Proven track record of delivering insights that drive business impact.What Success Looks LikeYou excel at conducting ad hoc analyses that provide strategic insights into growth markets.
