You will have the unique opportunity to work across the digital tech community to encourage the growth of the startup ecosystem. You will build a broad network of players committed to this goal and seek to establish synergetic relationships and collaborations.About the RoleGSMA seeks an intelligent, creative and committed engagement coordinator, reporting to the 4YFN Senior Strategy Manager.
The main purpose of the role is to build a strong network for 4YFN and lead the year-round engagement with partners, startup communities, accelerators and government bodies among others. You will engage with our partners, both local and international, and agree on collaborations that contribute to the overall 4YFN objectives.- Create and action a new strategy promoting synergetic collaborations with key partners such as startups hubs, communities and platforms which complement and add to 4YFN's programmes and initiatives- Liaise and strengthen ties with local entities and existing partners to foster awareness and year-round collaborations- Maintain market intelligence of the startup ecosystem, identify relevant initiatives and reach out to establish relationships- Represent 4YFN at start-up events and meetups throughout the year- Own the on-site networking agenda including curated activities and opportunities for the 4YFN general audience- Design and implement pre-event and on-site experiences for selected segments such as exhibitors and delegations- Support growth and business development by identifying new opportunities,
facilitating entrance to new markets and geographiesAbout YouYou are a networking genius in the making, full of brilliant ideas and the drive to see them through.- We appreciate a hands-on, can-do attitude. You are multi-disciplinary with the ability to multitask and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.- You are a strong and creative communicator, both written and verbal.- We work in a fast-paced environment: it is important that you are able to demonstrate your ability to plan ahead, but also work under pressure and at times to tight deadlines.- We work as a team and value your flexibility to assist team members when required.- You are customer-oriented. You need to have excellent business-to-customer relationships to succeed consolidating the 4YFN network.- Experience and knowledge of the startup ecosystem,
as well as the drive to keep learning and expanding the network.- Experience working in an international environment related to innovation.- Previous experience organising networking actions for audiences like startups, investors and corporates is an advantage.- Understanding of basic terminology in the startup world and orientation with respect to recent technological trends- Fluency in English and Spanish is a must.
