.DACBeachcroft have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Quality Auditor to join our Quality Team on a full-time, permanent, hybrid basis in our Leeds office. This role would suit someone who ideally has experience in a similar role within a law environment, although we would consider applicants from other regulated industries.Our Quality Team sits within the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), which is responsible for managing compliance and risk within the firm. Part of the Group's remit is to monitor quality in all groups and functions throughout the firm and the evaluation of quality is carried out predominantly by Quality Auditors.Quality Auditors are responsible for conducting internal audits across the business to measure compliance with the policies, controls and procedures in place as well as compliance with agreed client criteria where required.The audit output is analysed for trends and to assess the effectiveness of controls, with a view to continuous improvement. Audit results are discussed with audit stakeholders and/or the OGC and action plans are agreed for any areas requiring improvement. Spot checks are undertaken where required, to ensure that any action implemented has been effective.Role ResponsibilityThe role will be to work closely with the Quality Manager and existing Quality Auditors to undertake audits for the firm. This entails:Undertaking evaluations on matter files against agreed criteria for the different Clusters, and clientsAccurately recording the results of the evaluations so that they can be collated into reports for feedbackCo-ordinating audits, including creating the necessary documentation for the audit, dealing with the logistics and liaising with the Quality Manager and OGC LawyersHosting regular audit meetings with the rest of the team to monitor any issuesProviding timely and comprehensive reporting, highlighting areas where criteria has not been met and identifying any trends and patterns in compliance levelsLeading on feedback meetings to discuss the findings with the Quality Manager and OGC Lawyers. Agreeing the appropriate corrective action and feeding this back to the Quality Manager for it to be monitored and followed up as appropriateThe Ideal CandidateQualified to a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including a grade C/3 in English and Maths) or equivalent; or at least two years previous experience of working in a professional environment, ideally a law firm. At least one of these is essential
