The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking 2 Support Technicians.
This position will be funded by Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades through the project Towards Automatized Development of Electrocatalysts for CO2-to-Fuels (TED2021-132790B-I00).

ICIQ is looking for 2 Support Technicians to work in the group of Prof. Julio Lloret-Fillol.
The selected candidates will assist in the synthesis and characterization of photocatalysts and electrocatalysts, perform routine maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment, including potentiostats, spectrophotometers, and reaction setups, and collaborate with team members on data collection and processing for artificial photosynthesis experiments.
Additionally, they will prepare reports and documentation related to project milestones and findings, support the implementation of robotic workflows in experimental setups, and contribute to maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment, adhering to institutional protocols.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field is required.Candidates with previous experience in laboratory work, particularly in catalysis photochemistry and electrochemistry, will be highly valued.The role demands proficiency in laboratory techniques such as spectroscopy, electrochemical measurements, and catalyst preparation.Additionally, a good command of English is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the team.Valued qualities: Experience in automated workflows and laboratory digitalization is highly valued for this position.Candidates should also demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as these are critical for ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory and the accurate execution of experiments.The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team is essential, reflecting the group's commitment to fostering a cooperative and innovative research environment.Furthermore, an eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies is crucial, as the role involves engaging with cutting-edge methodologies and tools to advance research objectives.We offer: A full-time employment contract linked to the Auto4Fuel project ending on 30/09/2025.Remuneration according to the Institute salary scales.Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments.Incorporation: 08/02/2025.Selection Process ICIQ's selection process usually entails the following phases:
