2D Concept Artist (Temp Contract)

Youtooz designs and produces collectible toys that bring to life characters from iconic film and TV franchises, along with popular internet personalities. Our mission is to bring the personalities and characters you love into your everyday life—whether on your desk at work, your bedroom shelf, or your living room for everyone to see. Youtooz are incredibly personal and unique to each character and customer and comes with a variety of unique perks.As a 2D Concept Artist at Youtooz, you will take the Youtooz world and bring it to life. You'll be responsible for taking an idea and turning it into a Youtooz product all the way from ideation to a finished design. This role is a two month temporary contract position to cover a parental leave, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our creative team during this period.ResponsibilitiesTake an idea and turn it into a completed 2D conceptMeet design deadlinesRequirements2+ years of experience in concept art, character design, or a related fieldDegree in 2D animation, character design, concept art or a related disciplineEffective communication skillsAbility to quickly create and execute conceptsKnowledge of 2D programs such as Photoshop, ProCreate, Sketchbook, or other drawing softwareKnowledge of 2D practices such as creating silhouettes, proportions, anatomy, expression, and any other concept related practiceMotivated team player that can work quickly in a deadline-driven environment Bonus PointsKnowledge of the pantone library3D modelling experience or any related work such as 3D printingTraditional experience, painting, sculpting, or drawing.
