Job Description: Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for a Development Analyst position at our Malaga Demonstration & Learning Center (MDLC) in Southern Spain. When you join Team Caterpillar as a Development Analyst, you are responsible for providing analytical sample processing and data review to support S· O· SSM Services initiatives as part of the SOS Condition Monitoring lab team.
Incumbent uses a variety of analytical techniques and wet chemistry to process oil, fuel, source water and/or coolant samples submitted by customers. Engineers and dealers use results to manage equipment preventive maintenance.
JOB DUTIES: Sample Data Review Monitor of Samples in Process Instrument Troubleshooting Utilization of Instrument Manager Visual Inspection Preparation of Reagents and standards ICP Analysis GC Analysis Infrared analysis Fuel Sulfur Analyzer Analysis Titrator Analysis (TBN, TAN) Completion of Sample Billing Form and Received Dates Coolant Sample Prep Registration of Coolant Samples IC/HPLC Analysis Daily Instrument Validation (Dilutor Weight Audits, FTIR daily checks and soot checks, Particle Count daily checks, and Viscometer Daily checks) QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in chemistry, four-year degree in chemistry or related field (biology, bio-chemistry, chemical engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience, which must include a minimum of four years direct lab experience.
