CIC energiGUNE is a research center specialized in energy, electrochemical storage (batteries and supercapacitors), thermal energy solutions, and hydrogen. A member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), it is a strategic initiative of the Basque Government. CIC energiGUNE was created in 2011 to generate excellent knowledge that is useful for the Basque business network, being a reference in knowledge transfer.CIC energiGUNE has a dynamic research team of more than 100 researchers and is extremely well equipped with a wide range of up-to-date facilities available for all its researchers. The European Commission has recently awarded CIC energiGUNE with the 'HR Excellence in Research', reflecting its commitment to achieving fair and transparent recruitment and appraisal procedures, certifying the existence of a stimulating and favorable work environment for researchers.CIC energiGUNE is seeking an experienced technologist in the field of sustainable energy generation (from waste and biomass, e.G.,) by thermochemical and thermocatalytic means, to lead the research line of Thermoconversion Routes for Sustainable Fuels in the Thermal Energy Storage and Conversion area (TESC). The selected technologist will be a reference person in the TESC area to mark the path towards the addressed technologies. The person will contribute to defining and guiding the strategy to bring the investigation carried out in the research line towards real applications, working in close collaboration with the Scientific Director (SD), Technology Coordinator (TC), and the Group Leaders (GLs) involved in the research line (Thermocatalysis and Ionic Liquids and Solid-State Chemical Reactions). The selected technologist's responsibilities/tasks include but are not limited to:Define the main strategy of the research line in collaboration with the SD, TC, and GLs following the strategic plan defined by CIC energiGUNE.Clearly define the annual targets of the research line.Prepare the annual budget of the research line to ensure the fulfillment of the defined targets.Carry out continuous monitoring and support of the research line activities.Maintain fluent communication/discussion with the GLs/SD/TC to generate new ideas and concepts beyond the state-of-the-art towards the development of disruptive technologies and/or improvement of existing ones in the field of sustainable fuels generation.Stay continuously updated on the developments of existing and emerging technologies related to his/her research line and follow-up on annual planning.Report possible deviations from the defined plan to the TESC management committee and take actions for mitigation.Seek funds, both public (regional, national, and international) and private together with the GLs to support the activities of the research line.#J-18808-Ljbffr
