Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years' experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2.6 GW (1.3 operational and +1.3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW. We are currently looking for a Wind Resource Engineer to join our Madrid team. What will you help with? Design of measurement campaigns. Analysis and processing of wind measurement data. Supervision of subcontractors responsible for the maintenance and measurement management. Site Energy Assessment: Production reports, uncertainty assessment, loss calculation, site verification (IEC61400-1). Manual or automated layout design. Flow modelling and energy yield estimation. Production monitoring, performance studies and power curve compliance of operational assets. WTG selection and suitability verification. Liaison with major OEMs, technical meetings, information requests. Preparation of technical project documentation for investment decision. Development of new tools. Engagement of consultants at different project stages to outsource some activities as well as to supervise them. Site visits when required. Who you are? Bachelor in Electrical or Industrial engineering, Physics or similar. Desirable master's degree in Renewable Energy. 2-3 years experience performing the duties described. Expert of MS Office. Especially Excel. Expert of WindPro, WAsP, Windographer, Windfarmer, AutoCAD/Arc GIS and/or other specific wind industry software. Valuable experience with Meteodyn or similar CFD.
