The Role
Security Engineering Lead to:
Monitor the information security and business continuity status of the Group, acting where necessary to ensure the resilience of the IT estate.Provide a 24x7 first response to any major security related incidents.Management of security operations incidents, acting as the conduit between the Security Engineering function and wider IT Cyber Team, ensuring resolution, whilst minimising the probability of reoccurrence.Provision of expert operational security and systems access management consultancy across the Group.Management of Security Engineering strategic third-party relationships, ensuring any third-party deliverables meet strategic, technical and cost requirements.Identification and execution of continual improvement opportunities, ensuring operational integrity and the best operational security solutions for IAG and its operating companies, using thorough understanding of the relevant business area. Accountabilities Defines operational security strategic requirements, for embedding new IT security processes across the Group.Monitors the information security status across the Group and its operating companies.Manages the operational security requirements across different technologies and operating companies. Anticipates, investigates and resolves security operational issues, developing remedial solutions that ensure the integrity and availability of systems.Performs an assurance and governance operational service level through regular and deep local security audits, ensuring adherence to the Security Engineering strategy. Provides thorough testing and event schedules ensuring a robust and fit for purpose service.Provides a defined 24x7 first response process, escalating incidents as required.Provides management reporting through appropriate metrics on known incidents.Contributes to the management of operational security and system access management initiatives, promoting security best practice across the Group.Works collaboratively, through a trusted business partnering consultative approach, proactively leveraging key relationships with Group IT, and key business stakeholders across the Group. Interfaces with strategic third-party service providers, regulatory, compliance and audit bodies.Manages relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring issues are identified early and improvement plans actioned, ensuring deliverables meet IT technical, service and financial needs.Maintains a strong awareness of IT security industry best practice and trends. About you Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Skills
- Robust problem and incident management to deliver integrity and availability of systems.
- Knowledge of IT Security operational capability and industry standard solutions.
- Senior stakeholder management, with a proven ability of influencing and persuading internally and externally.
- Ability to recognise operational priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives.
