We're looking for someone with experience in green hydrogen or industrial gases to grow our transformational clean energy technology company in Europe and the Middle East.
Electric Hydrogen 's mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels.
You will be the principal face and our voice in the Europe and MENA markets, building impactful relationships with prospective customers, channel partners, and important hydrogen policy and regulatory influencers.
You will bring a nuanced perspective on the evolving European and Middle-Eastern hydrogen markets and help determine how best to position Electric Hydrogen's products and services for maximum uptake. You will identify the most likely-to-happen commercial opportunities, help close complex multi-million euro transactions, and win repeat business. You embody Electric Hydrogen's reputation for direct, ethical, and transparent customer engagement.
You will help recruit and manage a diverse team of sales, marketing, policy, and customer service professionals to ensure successful hydrogen electrolyzer implementations in the region.
You will initially work on a remote basis, based in Europe. You will have a voice in determining where Electric Hydrogen locates its European headquarters. You will report to the SVP of Commercial and be part of a fun, driven customer-oriented team. A large amount of travel is required for this position, including periodic trips to Boston and San Francisco.
Role and Responsibilities
Close transactions to help Electric Hydrogen achieve bookings and revenue goals in the EMEA region.
Establish and grow customer relationships: Identify the main buyer roles, including the all-important Economic Buyer, through thoughtful inquiry and appropriate advice.
Be the voice of the customer and the ears of Electric Hydrogen at industry events and in discussions with main policy and regulatory authorities.
Create and nurture lasting relationships with important policy, environmental, and regulatory partners and trade media.
Help your teammates improve: share closed-loop learning and participate in group discussions to solve sales, policy, and partnership customer engagement challenges.
Seek out and socialize competitive intelligence and industry knowledge.
Chronicle and communicate your efforts and results to senior company leadership.
Qualifications
12+ years' experience in sales and customer account management in industrial equipment sales, with a record of achieving bookings targets and earning repeat orders.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field; master's degree in a quantitative field.
10+ years' experience in hydrogen or related industrial gases.
Demonstrate at least ten pre-existing customer relationships in the hydrogen electrolyzer market that you can access at a high level to discuss potential electrolyzer supply opportunities.
Experience with complex markets and long cycle sales processes.
Able to travel for events and conferences.
Experience with Salesforce CRM.
Compensation and Benefits
Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience. Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen's total rewards package. We feel strongly that our team should not have to worry about having quality healthcare.
