The facility, with a 248 MBPD DCO processing design, is located in the Jose Industrial Complex in Venezuela. This role involves planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling processes and resources for maintaining world-class utilization and reliability for safe operations, focusing on regular and turnaround maintenance.The Upgrader integrates with production fields, handling 8.6° API crude from the Orinoco Oil Belt, blending it with naphtha diluent for transportation. The diluent is recovered, and the extra-heavy crude is upgraded into commercial crude oil through delayed coking and hydroprocessing/hydrocracking. The Upgrader includes units for distillation, coking, hydrotreating, hydrocracking, hydrogen generation, sulfur recovery, utilities, and storage facilities.The Upgrader is in the process of a strategic recovery plan aimed at recovering baseline conditions.
