Our team is seeking a Tunnel Ventilation Systems Designer to be based in Madrid. You will develop multi-disciplinary projects that span a diverse range of construction sectors including among others: Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Aviation, Commercial and Defense. These can be some of your responsibilities: Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered Identifies discrepancies in results Innovative mechanical design and modelling. Computerized flow analyses. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience in mechanical ventilation design, specially for tunnels. Fluency in English and Spanish languages (spoken and written). Knowledge of industry tools: SES, CFD, and FDS software programs. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, fire or equivalent engineering degree with exhibited experience in mechanical ventilation design. Master's degree would be considered an asset. Capable of designing mechanical ventilation systems using engineering calculations and preparing design drawings and specifications Capable of conducting computerized flow analysis for tunnel ventilation systems Knowledge of industry tools: SES, CFD, and FDS software programs Knowledge of CAD, REVIT software. Familiarity with fans and controls Familiarity with fire life safety codes and standards (NFPA, AMCA, ASHRAE). Good verbal and written communications skills. Self-motivated and experienced in performing calculations and delivering quality work
