Position The Technology Mechanic is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for spearheading new technology initiatives and showcasing our cutting-edge solutions to customers at MDLC. As a Technology Mechanic, you will provide first-line support, coordinate services, resolve problems, and make recommendations on selected products and services. You will be responsible for equipping the Malaga Demonstration and Learning Center (MDLC) fleet with the latest Caterpillar technologies, ensuring technologies are updated and maintained in perfect working condition for events and training programs. Additionally, you will handle customer service inquiries, analyze technical data, and monitor the health status of key products to determine necessary actions. What you will do: Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Continuously monitor and analyze technology trends and advancements at Caterpillar to keep our technology offerings at the forefront of the market. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, product development, and industry teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of technology solutions. Lead Technology Initiatives: Drive the development and implementation of new technology projects at MDLC, ensuring alignment with the enterprise's strategic goals. Equip the MDLC Fleet: Ensure the MDLC fleet is equipped with the latest Caterpillar technologies, maintaining them in perfect condition for events and training programs. Assembly and Disassembly of Equipment: Perform complex assembly and disassembly of construction equipment, following engineering drawings, schematics, service manuals, and work orders. Diagnostic Analysis: Identify necessary repairs or improvements to major equipment systems, including but not limited to engine, transmission, final drive, hydraulics, electrical, On/Off Board Technologies. Use the Caterpillar Electronic Technician software to diagnose machine problems, calibrate machine systems, and configure the different systems/applications installed in the fleet. Complex Repairs: Conduct advanced repairs on all types of construction equipment, including the installation of on and off-board technologies, software updates, and calibration of each of the technologies installed on the MDLC fleet
