The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for driving and developing all activities related to the procurement of components for our battery and electrification technologies, with a focus on electrical/electronic components (PCBA, HV Electrical distribution).

What You Will Do Detailed Cost Analysis, Commercial Negotiation and ProposalsCradle to Grave Supplier Relationship ManagementCommercial and Contractual support to Project Teams/EngineersProject, Budget, Cost Progress and ReportingBusiness Planning of Procurement objectives and activitiesImprove/Streamline the Procurement ProcessesContract and Order Placement including authorising Payment to suppliersCreate and manage the RFI/RFP/RFQ process.Contract Preparation and deployment.Supplier Gateway Readiness checks, confirmation and reporting.Cross Functional cost reduction activitySupport the creation and management of Supplier Risk and reporting.Life Cycle Cost Management for a range of commodities.Supplier concern resolutionWhat You Need to Succeed Well-rounded technical knowledge of manufacturing processes involved in the production of electrical/electronic components (PCBA, HV Electrical distribution).Previous Battery technology experience with a wide range of commercial and commodity groups of both low and high value (Direct and Indirect).Commercial acumen and negotiation prowess. Understanding how to strengthen and add value to supplier proposals.Experience in establishing or streamlining procurement processes and procedures.Experience in operating MRP/ERP systems.Solid understanding of procurement procedures. Ability to promote best practice purchasing techniques.Excellent stakeholder management skills.
