About the role The VV Team Lead will be responsible for leading the Validation and Verification (VV) team to ensure that our cameras and sensors meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires the development and execution of comprehensive VV strategies, managing the VV team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that products function as intended. The VV Team Lead will also be a key player in promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Mentorship: Build, lead, and mentor a team of VV engineers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure team effectiveness. VV Planning and Execution: Develop and implement VV plans that meet project requirements and regulatory standards, including the design and execution of comprehensive test procedures for product functionality and features. Test Automation: Develop and implement automation tasks for relevant VV activities to increase efficiency and accuracy. Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze test results, identify defects, and recommend corrective actions to improve product quality. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulatory requirements, addressing customer complaints and non-conformance issues as necessary. Process Improvement: Maintain and enhance VV processes and documentation to align with industry best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure cohesive product development and quality assurance. Hard Skills: Advanced Test Automation and Scripting: Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG, with the ability to lead the development of automated test scripts using programming languages like Python and Java. Capable of mentoring the team in creating reliable and efficient automation scripts. Network Protocols and Debugging: In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g., RTP/RTSP/HTTP) and extensive experience with network analysis tools like Wireshark. Ability to guide the team in debugging and validating complex network interactions within the product. Video Management Software (VMS) Integration: Strong background in integrating and testing video streaming solutions with VMS platforms (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, exacqVision). Deep understanding of ONVIF standards, ensuring the team's work aligns with industry requirements. Leadership in SDLC and Risk-Based Testing: Comprehensive understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, with the ability to implement and oversee risk-based testing techniques. Ensures the team's VV processes are aligned with best practices and deliver high-quality results. Advanced Data Analysis and Documentation: Proficiency in data collection, management, and analysis, with the ability to lead the team in producing detailed documentation and certification reports.
