Role Overview We are seeking skilled Safety Assurance Consultants and RAM Engineers to join our team during this exciting growth phase. Key Responsibilities: Lead complex rail safety engineering and assurance services on engineering projects, applying methods and tools aligned with standards like EN50126, EN50129, IEC 61508, and/or CSM-RA. Lead and support the delivery of projects requiring compliance with Independent Safety Assessment (ISA), Assessment Body (AsBo), Notified Body (NoBo), and Designated Body (DeBo) processes, ensuring all rail projects adhere to the necessary certification standards and regulatory frameworks. Lead the bidding, winning, and delivery of complex, commercially viable projects, collaborating with clients to understand their objectives and desired outcomes. Contribute to major infrastructure projects across the globe, helping to design and build some of the most challenging transport systems in the world Provide support to contractors in completing CSM and approvals for rail systems and infrastructure projects Lead safety assurance for new rail products, such as high-speed points systems, axle counters, and other signalling systems. Demonstrate flexibility by effectively managing multiple activities and proactively balancing workload across projects and customers. Lead interactive workshops with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success. Produce high-quality analysis, assessments, reports, and designs to support client projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Mentor and guide junior colleagues, ensuring project activities align with company procedures and standards. Provide technical expertise and inputs for business development activities and proposals. Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, ensuring client safety and satisfaction. Represent the company in client meetings, workshops, and industry events. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive project success. Assume leadership roles as needed to support business objectives. Key Competencies and Experience: Extensive experience in delivering safety engineering and assurance services to rail projects, utilizing methods and tools aligned with standards such as EN50126, EN50129, IEC 61508, and/or CSM-RA. Experience in ISA certification and working with AsBo, NoBo, and DeBo requirements, ensuring full compliance with industry regulatory standards. A solid background in risk management, systems engineering, and/or safety engineering. Prior experience in major rail infrastructure projects is highly desirable, especially if gained within the consultancy sector. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and proactively prioritize workload. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Support business development efforts by writing proposals, developing client relationships, and engaging with industry stakeholders. Ability to speak French, German or Spanish is an advantage, but not essential.
