Job Description Engineering Oil & Gas Company is looking for a Survey Party Chief for their offshore project.
This is an offshore role, working on board vessels in rotation (35/35) as part of an international team.
Extensive travel is required Main Responsibilities: • Provide leadership to and supervision of the offshore Survey team.
Ensure that all Survey and Positioning systems onboard the vessel are correctly prepared, tested, functional, calibrated and in safe working order / appropriately maintained.
• Ensure that Survey team and Survey and Positioning systems are working in compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures and company QHSE policies/procedures to meet the scope of work safely and effectively.
• Act as substitute for any members of the Survey team where feasible (typically limited to Online Surveyor and/or Survey Engineer roles) • Act as Offshore Survey Representative when required, for chartered vessels where the Survey and Positioning services are sub-contracted to a third party.
• Comply with: o IMCA C004 (Competence Assurance and Assessment: Offshore Survey Division) o IMCA S005 (Academic Requirement for Surveyors Working in the Offshore Survey Sector Requirements •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, Hydrographic Surveying or a related subject (or an appropriate military qualification) • A solid understanding of offshore survey and positioning principles and techniques • 5+ years in an offshore Survey supervisor position • Ability to manage an international team • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Fluent in English, both written and verba Benefits Project, flag: mainly EU projects Location: Offshore Position: Survey Party Chief Contract start: ASAP Contract duration: 31.12.2025 and renewable Work/leave rotation: 35/35 Working hours: 12hrs / 7days Salary: TBC.
