You will be primarily responsible for developing mechanical/structural systems for subsonic/supersonic and hypersonic flights. You will be a part of our engineering team and interact with all engineering disciplines to resolve new issues as they arise. It is a unique project with unique opportunities for skill and experience.TasksPerform detailed structural and structural/thermal analyses and sizing of aerospace structures, components and systemsGuide structural optimization and design improvementsDeliver detailed FEM Models used for analysis, from GFEM to detailed analysisDefine sizing loads and load cases required for scoping detailed analysisDeliver preliminary sizing calculations, hand calculations and simplified estimates to inform the designSupport ground and flight testsDeliver detailed technical reports and presentationsAssist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and proceduresSupport the definition and execution of the qualification and certification processRequirementsBS., MS., in an Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline8-10 years of experience as an aerospace stress engineerFEM experience with Nastran, from building models to analysis, postprocessing, debuggingExperienced with stress hand calculation/analytical methodsExperience with both metallic and composite lightweight structural design for aerospaceExperience with Flight and Ground Loads, Structural requirements, Calculations and reporting in the frame of aerospace regulations/certification standardsExperience with MatlabStrong communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of the English language is required.
