The Credit and Collections Senior Manager will directly manage the credit and collections functions for Europe and MEA as well as provide oversight for the global credit and collections effort.
The individual will ensure that effective internal controls are developed and maintained for the critical purpose of managing cashflow and credit risk.
The ideal candidate must remain current on global political and macro financial trends, including foreign exchange trending, to advise on changes to credit policies with a view to managing risk.
This position is in Madrid, Spain.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
Have direct responsibility for EMEA
Perform credit limit reviews and customer risk assessments
Ensure there are consistent/appropriate payment terms and timely collections
Work with Sales/CSR to resolve collection issues.
Create letters of credit review and approvals in conjunction with treasury/Finance
Oversee cashflow applications/projections and dispute resolutions
Manage allowances for doubtful accounts
Enforce and control adherence to the credit policy
Review and manage Order releases.
Participate in ad hoc A/R reporting queries, project support, and global oversight/reporting
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
A reputable financial qualification
Good understanding of SAP ERP systems
Proficient in Microsoft office applications
Strong oral and written communication skills
Fluent in English
Proven leadership and analytical skills.
At least 5 years' experience working in credit & collections in a multinational environment
Sound knowledge on various statutory requirements and regulations
